Created attachment 131115 [details] Shows the problem when pressing F2 on a selected file Product Version: NetBeans IDE 7.3 RC2 (Build 201302050851) Java: 1.7.0_13; Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 23.7-b01 Runtime: Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment 1.7.0_13-b20 System: Windows 8 version 6.2 running on x86; Cp1252; de_DE (nb) Select a file with a long name in the Projects window. Press F2 (rename shortcut). This changes the label to a text field and truncates the file extension which leads to a smaller width of the component. The wider part of the former label does not disappear.
