case 1

I'm sorry if it doesn't belong here.

When I run NetBeans on JDK6u31, then comboboxes (not all) have bad background color on GTK & Ubuntu 11.10 32b, see screenshots. Running on JDK7 seems to work just fine

Product Version: NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 201204110400)
Java: 1.6.0_31; Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 20.6-b01
System: Linux version 3.0.0-17-generic-pae running on i386; UTF-8; en_US (nb)

Happens in NB 7.1.2 & JDK6_u33 as well, check the text of keyboard shortcuts, it is barely visible

sorry for low quality, Ubuntu seems to be incapable of making screenshots when context menu is invoked...

Please run SwingSet demo application (http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/demos-nojavascript-137100.html) and reopen if there are no issues in the demo app, thanks.
Comment 6 Vladimir Riha 2012-06-12 07:23:53 UTC
I'm sorry but the problems are probably only with GTK L&F and the SwingSet demo runs with (I guess) Metal and I can't find a way to change it.
Comment 7 Stanislav Aubrecht 2012-06-12 07:55:48 UTC
Start SwingSet demo then click menu Look & Feel and choose GTK Style Look & Feel, thanks.
Comment 8 Vladimir Riha 2012-06-12 07:58:42 UTC
There is no GTK, only 4 items:
- Java Look and Feel
- Macintosh Look and Feel (disabled)
- Motif Look and Feel
- Windows Look and Feel (disabled)

The "Java Look and Feel" is Metal

Which JDK version do you run the demo with then?
Comment 10 Vladimir Riha 2012-06-12 08:04:46 UTC
I tried JDK6_u32, JDK6_u33 and JDK7_u04, all 32bit
