In the Options window would be good to have an option to truncate package names:

-J-Dorg.netbeans.spi.java.project.support.ui.packageView.TRUNCATE_PACKAGE_NAMES

If this means restarting the IDE after the setting is changed, we need to handle that somehow.

It should be integrated with the new 'Reduced Tree View' too.

Please specify where the option should be in the options dialog (UI spec needed). After UI is clear please assign back.
