Here is my initial bug report that didn't get submitted:I downloaded the Java EE 6 SDK windows file from Sun's download site.This download included Glassfish V3 & Netbeans 6.8 to get ready for a Java Class I'm going to start on 30 Dec 09. Everything loaded fine & worked until I selected all of the plugins availiable & downloaded them. After the plugin download, of which Python.exe was a part of, AVG 9.0 on Win 7 32 bit Ultimate Student Version said that the Python.exe file was Malware & quarentined the file. Without this file availiable Netbeans stopped working giving errors that it couldn't find the python file. After a few dats on Xmas, my machine w/not go online requiring a complete wipe & reinstall of Win 7. Not sure if the Python file was the cause or not. After a few days reinstalling software, I Reinstalled the Java Sdk & AVG flagged the Python file as malware after the plugin download as before. After the python file was removed. I searched the drive & registry for python remnants. Found none. Tried uninstall/reinstall of SDK. Gave errors during the reinstall saying it couldn't find the Python file to update it & said to look at a path variable & update it to find the python file. The Sdk installed ok minus the python errors but didn't reinstall Netbeans. Didn't see Netbeans in Uninstall list to uninstall after uninstalling it the first time. Went directly to the Netbeans site & downloaded the Netbeans 6.0 All for Windows file.This file installed Netbeans 6.8. This time I'm installing all plugins except the 3 Python plugins, because I'm not sure which of the 3 or if all 3 load in the corrupted python.exe file. Is this file really a corrupted malware file, or is AVG 9.0 just mis identifying it as such. AVG seems pretty adamant that is is a great threat & quarantines & deletes the file every time. Is there another place to get an uncorrupted python.exe plugin until this one is fixed. I don't really need Python or even know what it is other than it is a popular UNIX Programming language or script like Ruby. I'm pretty sure I don't need a Python plugin for my JAVA Programming class as long as Netbeans works fine with Java programs without it. I'm sorry you had difficulties. It's unfortunate that AVG was misguided. Since I don't use AVG, this was never an issue for me, and as such am closing as WORKSFORME.
