Thanks!!!

Would be really nice if added!

I use Zend Server for developing, and it can be a pain to setup xdebug in that + it breaks integration with other Zend extensions.

Zend optimizer doesn't work with xdebug. It does work with Zend debugger.
Use case: Viart uses Zend Optimizer and only Zend Debugger can debug it.

batch reassigning
Comment 5 devarni 2010-11-22 18:28:03 UTC
Zend Debugger support is essential, because XDebug has many known problems with classes. Scope of the class and variables are not seen from base classes etc so for proper debugging its unusable.

I switched this time to JetBrains PhpStorm 2 (EAP/Beta) with proper support of XDebug _and_ Zend Debugger...

You should put this enhancement to higher priority.
Comment 6 nikolocalhost 2011-03-16 00:06:36 UTC
Xdebug has a bad bug using php JavaBridge so i have to choose Debugger or JavaBridge stuff.

If Zend debugger is supported by netbeans, i dont have to choose between the to options, i can have both :)

This feature would be essential for our developers to switch over completly to Netbeans... hope it will be considered for 7.0 final.

agreguen el soporte por favor. Es lo único que tiene a mi empresa amarrada a zend studio. Y lo peor de todo, convencidos de que es lo mejor.

La proxima vais en inglais por favor... ;)

I think polaco2k likes to mention, that the zend debugger support, is the only thing that keeps his company using the Zend Studio. And he really likes to see that feature coming soon.. :)
Comment 11 jsmarshall 2011-10-13 03:24:54 UTC
Yes this would be great, Netbeans is more powerful than eclipse but it's too much hassle to configure xdebug with zend framework.

Please implement Zend Debugger for Netbeans!

Any news about Zend Debugger integration on 7.1 ?

RC2 doesn't seem to provide it except "Improved PHP debugging", which is not very accurate...
Comment 13 rulatir 2012-05-27 20:02:53 UTC
Even more essential to have an alternative now that PHP 5.4/Xdebug 2.2 is totally broken.
Comment 14 maghiel 2012-09-05 22:49:02 UTC
As mentioned by diegobazzanella, ZF Debugger support was already in the PHP Development Plan for NB 7.1. It reappeared in the plan for 7.2. And now I see it appearing again in the plan for 7.3 (http://wiki.netbeans.org/PHPDevelopmentPlanNB73).
Does anyone know if there really is a chance we will find support in 7.3?

(No flame intended whatsoever; I'm just anxious :))
Comment 15 Ondrej Brejla 2012-09-06 07:07:01 UTC
Really, I don't know...it takes tooooo much time to implement it and we don't have enough resources even for common fixing and common minor features. So it's still here, but noone knows, when it could be done.
Comment 16 Monomachus 2012-09-06 12:54:34 UTC
Hello all,

If you are willing to make it happen may be it is the time to participate in something like http://wiki.netbeans.org/NetBeans_PHP_Community_Council
Comment 17 maghiel 2012-09-26 03:24:35 UTC
Can´t oracle borrow some resources? :p ;)
Comment 18 f1dz 2013-02-03 13:52:11 UTC
It would be nice. Because I'Am using Zend Server now.
Comment 19 Freakachoo 2013-07-23 08:50:40 UTC
Please! Any updates with that? Really, this feature is very needed!
Comment 20 sdkby 2013-10-05 17:50:08 UTC
This is essential feature, the only reason I am still using another IDE for PHP development when I need debug is the lack of this feature.
Comment 21 darnigh 2013-12-10 12:41:40 UTC
If Netbeans supports Zend Debugger we no longer need ZendStudio... :-)
Comment 22 davelhs03 2013-12-11 17:00:10 UTC
I agree if Netbeans supports Zend Debugger there would be no reason anyone would need Zend Studio.

Ondrej Brejla - Can you comment on if this feature will ever being implemented?
Comment 23 Ondrej Brejla 2013-12-11 17:04:57 UTC
Probably some day...but definitely not for 8.0.
Comment 24 riotrick 2014-09-11 10:23:15 UTC
Would love to see this implemented.
Comment 25 hmundt_ibl 2016-01-28 13:52:51 UTC
I am missing this feature.
