let's increase out of box experience for NB. 

Download of a server (glassfish) might be very useful for the users that are updating their IDE with J2EE functionality. 
Now the glassfish is bundled with the installer only. When you want to add the server to IDe then you have to download
it separately. Why? We could provide a module that will wrap the installer and let the users download it from update
center together with the J2EE functionality. 

Mobility pack provides WTK (runtime) for their users in the same way.

a variation of this feature is available in v3...

A v2 implementation of something would be good for 6.5?

vkraemer, I'm completely lost by your last comment. How could be NB influenced by GF v3? 
Let me describe it in other way. Imagine a situation: I unzipped my IDE therefore thre is NO GF. However I'd like to get
the GF. I'm a newbie in this area but I know that I can get everything necessary for NB at an update center (Tools >
Plugins). But I cannot find the GF at the update center.

The v3 plugin has a 'download and install v3 button on the registration wizard...

v3 plugin has parallel functionality already.
