While developing an application user sometimes needs to link additional object files from the same project (e.g.
compiled resource file etc.). Now the only way to do it is to add this file to ProjectProperties|Linker|Libraries. It
could be unclear for user why a file from the project is treated as an external library.

Agree, but too late for 6.5. It would require GUI changes which is too late now.

Downgrading to p4. We have not received any bug reports regarding this from the field so I assume most people figure it out.
