Ken, please report the real I18N issues only. The dialogs cannot be designed to fit 3-times longer text translations then the english originals. what about to provide scrollbars when the panel doesn't fit to the dialog? Adam, I don't agree. Yes, some of these msgs/labels are longer but this is also about user being allowed to use a larger font size, even without having pseudo localized labels. And from what we have seen in past, when coding was done to allow dynamic resizing, using layout manager features, the resize issues were solved in any case. Also, there are at least 2 gifs in which the problem is that not all line shows vertically, and that is not related to how long a pseudo localized message is. As to this not being real i18n issue - you are right in that resizing is not all i18n per se; and all QE teams test for resize, its just when we find it doing i18n testing, we put the I18N in summary and keyword; I'll remove the keyword to be more clear. --> Please consider reopening this, or at least discuss with Lukas. Lukas, scrollbars will work. ken.frank@sun.com |
