Product Version = NetBeans IDE 7.1 (Build 201112071828) Operating System = Mac OS X version 10.7.4 running on x86_64 Java; VM; Vendor = 1.6.0_31 Runtime = Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 20.6-b01-415 I've seen this in Aptana, and I thought this would be a cool addition to display the current gut branch name next to "Sources Files" or even the project name in the Project browser. I found this quite useful in Aptana, and it somehow encourages me to use the branching system in git.
Created attachment 120359 [details] branch name nex to a project name Do you mean this? A branch name is already displayed next to a project name. Just ensure that versioning annotations are enabled (View -> Show Versioning Labels)
That's exactly it. This enhancement request can be closed (didn't see that option, was looking in the preferences of the versionning systems)
The best solution is to enable scm branch info in the project name.
