I tried the trick with deleting the directory. The result is that Forte gets stuck while loading filesystems.

Before that, when I tried to empty the project and add a new version of a file I had refered to in the old project under a different path, Forte created a message that the file is already in the project under some unreachable file system. Needless to say, I couldn't see the file in the filesystem viewer.
