NetBeans 3.5 Release: Designed for Speed

PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC -- June 8, 2003 -- The NetBeans.org opensource project announces immediate availability of the NetBeans IDE 3.5 release. This release brings significant performance improvement to IDE users, and includes new functionality in the web application development area.
NetBeans IDE is the IDE of choice for Java technologists, which thanks to its extremely modular architecture is able to provide productivity enhancing tools in many technology areas. There is a large number of domain-specific plug-in extensions, both free and commercial, available in the NetBeans Module Catalogue (http://plugins.netbeans.org/), and via the Sun ONE Studio Partner Program (http://developers.sun.com/tools/javatools/partnerprograms/partnerlist.html).
NetBeans.org is a succesfull opensource project, with significant industry support and momentum. There are more than 16,000 registered community members, and more than 60 industry partners who extend the capabilities of NetBeans IDE or leverage the NetBeans as an application framework.
