Adam Bien's Project Greenfire Wins JAX Innovation Award

Adam Bien's energy-saving open source project GreenFire was one of this year's JAX Innovation Awards winners.

In addition to the fourth prize win (1000€) by the jury, the project received an Audience Award (1000€). Bien, a member of the NetBeans Dream Team, will be donating the prize monies to charity.

Project GreenFire is an intelligent heating regulator that lets you save money at home. It was written in pure Java EE 5 using NetBeans IDE and the GlassFish application server.
