Description _ hair 2004-03-25 10:15:58 UTC
[ BUILD # : 200403161736 ]
[ JDK VERSION : J2SE 1.4.2 ]

Exactly the same symptoms as bug#25987
Making any change to a file never gets reflected in the file's cvs status. (Only in the icon badge and tooltip).
Comment 1 _ hair 2004-03-25 10:18:37 UTC
The repro-case from bug#25987 comment
"Additional Comments From Martin Entlicher 2002-09-02 08:56 PDT "
fails at step 1.
Comment 2 Marian Mirilovic 2004-03-25 11:03:46 UTC
radek,
 please look at it...
Comment 3 Marian Mirilovic 2004-03-25 11:10:17 UTC
I can't reproduce it :

Linux Red Hat 9 / Gnome / JDK 1.4.2_03 / NB3.6 RC1 (200403161736)

I've tried :
- run IDE with new userdir
- mount CVS filesystem (Profile=CVS)
- open file (Upto date )
- add space (write some character)
-> status is updated, badge is changed

Version Impl 200403161736

Problem is exhibited with both built-in and command-line cvs.
Setting refresh property does not help.
Comment 5 _ hair 2004-03-25 11:30:45 UTC
oops.
Comment 6 rmatous 2004-03-25 12:26:41 UTC
WINXP / Gnome / JDK 1.4.2_03 / NB3.6 RC1 (200403161736)
Tested with both built-in and command-line cvs.

Please provide as much information as you can (Is it 100% reprodicible
or you must repeate M.Entlicher's steps more than once ? Do you use
only modules delivered with standard distribution ? Do you run some
code via internal execution ? ). Please help us find out where is the
difference.

I can't reproduce it. Not appropriate priority according standard
metric. So, priority decreased.

Peter are you able to reproduce ? If no then please close this issue
as WORKSFORME.

Comment 7 _ hair 2004-03-25 12:59:08 UTC
It is reproducible 100%.
I only had to perform the steps once.
Additional modules I use are 'View over filesystem', and tasklist modules.
No code is run with internal execution.
Comment 8 _ hair 2004-03-25 13:04:46 UTC
Fixed it by removing all filesystems and mounting everything from
scratch. Unfortunately now I have a number of more annoying bugs :=(

Could it have been the cvs checkout had been used (and created) with
an older version of the CVS Support module. If so won't this be a
common occurance? Or do you expect everything to start 3.6 with a
fresh userdir, or to remount their cvs mounts?? (i hope not).
Comment 9 pzajac 2004-03-25 13:23:11 UTC
Yes, it can be reproduced with treefs. Reassigned to treefs. I'm
sorry, but treefs is not probably stable module for Netbeans 3.6.
Comment 10 Jaroslav Tulach 2004-05-13 09:43:22 UTC
I do not have plans to fix this for 3.6 as I am working on 4.0 mainly.
If anybody wants to provide fix, he is welcomed.
Comment 11 Jesse Glick 2004-05-13 19:40:38 UTC
Note: the module will be obsolete in NB 4.0.
Comment 12 _ hair 2006-07-05 18:58:10 UTC
verified or just very old
