Description zootal 2012-12-06 18:51:46 UTC
This is something I have experienced off an on for a very long time, and it just bit me again, so I figured it was time to file a bug report. Because of the sporadic nature of this, it may be very difficult to duplicate.

If you have unsaved changes in the editor, and you click the "debug project" button to start tracing through the code, from time to the code will revert to the last save, effecting loosing all of your work since then. I can't say how to duplicate this because it doesn't happen very often. I have, however, seen this occur many times during the last year or so, on different computers, in both the current version of NetBeans, and in older version.

Hm, strange. I have not noticed this so far.

What kind of project do you have?
Does this happen with Run Project as well?
I guess this is not a fault of debugger.

Based on reporter's follow-up e-mail and his agreement, I am closing this bug as WORKSFORME.

Matthew, if you find out a reproducible procedure how to invoke this data loss, don't hesitate to reopen this bug with such more information. Thanks.
