The option "Synchronize editor with views" is not working as expected. The option is enabled, but the current file is not selected by default in the "Projects" window as in previous versions. I am in a PHP project (a Zend Framework MVC based app).

Product Version = NetBeans IDE 7.2 Beta (Build 201205031832)
Operating System = Windows 7 version 6.1 running on amd64
Java; VM; Vendor = 1.6.0_31
Runtime = Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 20.6-b01

Can you provide more information what you mean by that? Is the opened file part of the project (underneath Source or Test Files)? Or is it on the Include Path?

I also have the same issue.
Product Version: NetBeans IDE 7.2 (Build 201207171143)
Java: 1.6.0_24; OpenJDK Client VM 20.0-b12
System: Linux version 2.6.38-15-generic running on i386; UTF-8; en_US (nb)

The file are in the project, under the Source Files and the Synchronize editor with views option is not working.

Likely a bug in the general Projects support. I will investigate more.
