Product Version: NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 201111080600) Java: 1.6.0_26; Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 20.1-b02-383 System: Mac OS X version 10.7.2 running on x86_64; MacRoman; en_US (nb) User directory: /Users/tomas/.netbeans/dev Cache directory: /Users/tomas/.netbeans/dev/var/cache --------- - do not know exact purpose of this archetype, but when created project with default setting, "run" action does nothing; Either make this action work, or disable this action for this project type.
CCing to David. Davide could you tell me what's the point of Enterprise Application Client project and if there is any reason why it's not possible to run it in current state? Btw: I'm not even sure if there are any specialized run handlers for a different types of Maven projects..
AppClient was never supported in Maven but a member of our community, Pablo Rodriguez, is quite passionate about it and in spare time I was helping him. See for example issue 195474. Or search for issues submitted by Pablo (username is pablopina@netbeans.org). There is lots of work left to be done. See for example issue 201471.
I've disabled run/debug/profile actions in maven application client (web-main #1e60ee1b2876) as it was never implemented. ..and changing the issue to enhancement now.
Integrated into 'main-golden', will be available in build *201210250001* on http://bits.netbeans.org/dev/nightly/ (upload may still be in progress) Changeset: http://hg.netbeans.org/main-golden/rev/1e60ee1b2876 User: Martin Janicek <mjanicek@netbeans.org> Log: #204883 - Enterprise application client does not allow "run" action
