.desktop file for netbeans

It would be nice if netbeans could bundle a .desktop file or template for one.

It would help maintain a consistent experience across linux distributions by having an icon in the desktop environment's menu.

I have attached a file we use in archlinux.

Fedora also maintains a .desktop file that acts like a template:

Do you mean zip distribution? 
NetBeans Installer currently creates .desktop file and adds the icon in the desktop environment's menu for Linux.
