Description tomwheeler 2011-03-28 22:55:19 UTC
First, this issue is not related to the netbeans.org Web site but rather its mailing lists. There was no obvious component for that yet IZ forced me to choose one. Please recatetgorize as necessary.

I am subscribed to several NetBeans mailing lists. I have observed for the past several months (at least, maybe closer to a year) that no messages will come in for several hours and then a batch of messages come in within a few minutes of one another. I wasn't sure whether it was a delay in NetBeans infrastructure or in GMail (my e-mail provider), but I know that others have noticed it too.

This happens frequently but is somewhat intermittent. It happened just now, so I wanted to file the issue so I could provide the details of one such message.

Time sent: 08:34:39 GMT
Time arrived: 22:35:41 GMT
Total delay: 14 hours, 1 minute.

Here are the complete message headers so you can investigate. It looks to me like 99.5% of the 14 hour delay is caused by mailin01.kenai.com.

Assigning to kenai team.
Comment 2 Jan Pirek 2011-05-17 09:18:46 UTC
This kind of latency happens from time to time again. Can someone from kenai look at this?
Comment 3 Marco Walther 2011-11-14 23:53:08 UTC
Sympa sometimes dies:-( But it should be restarted automatically now.
