It would really help out if there was a filter box at the top of the Threads
timeline view that would allow me to type an expression and only those threads
whose name match that expression would be shown in the Threads Timeline view.

Good idea, but we will not be able to squeeze it into 1.0

At least one of the following is desirable:
- filter box
- sort threads by name
- find in thread name column

Implemented in the new profiler.
