My setup

OS: Freshly installed Ubuntu 15.10, also reproducible on Debian Testing
Java: 1.8.0_60 x64
Netbeans: 8.1
Window Manager: i3 4.11

I have dual monitors with the main NB window on one monitor and another one on my second monitor. When dragging tabs between windows, the cursor with tab thumbnail rapidly switches between both windows. It usually takes a few tries before I can successfully move a tab to the adjacent window. 

Moving tabs between multiple windows on the same monitor works fine outside of the orange tab placement box not always disappearing while dragging. 

Presumably this is caused by how i3 handles focus but I'm not sure.
