Version 1.8.5 of svnkit library (according to http://svnkit.com/download.php) should be able to manage both 1.8 and 1.7 working copies.

In NetBeans 8.0 the user is obliged to upgrade to 1.8 working copy format that maybe not the ideal thing to do especially if you also use Netbeans 7.4 that, on the contrary, works only with 1.7 working copies.

Backport of update svnkit to Netbeans 7.4 could be desirable too.
