Product Version = NetBeans IDE 7.4 RC1 (Build 201309162201)
Operating System = Linux version 3.11.1-200.fc19.x86_64 running on amd64
Java; VM; Vendor = 1.7.0_40
Runtime = Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 24.0-b56

Compilation error are normally shown as a flag flag on the source tab,   a red mark on the right hand margin and red underlining in the region of the error. Only the red flag on the source tab is reliably shown

I think it is a dup of #235958 (or one of its linked issues)
