Even when the "Enable auto-scanning of sources" is deselected on NetBeans options the auto-scanning feature continues to run. 


Tools > Options > Miscellaneous > Files > Deselect "Enable auto-scanning of sources"

Enable auto-scanning of sources has nothing in common with p.a.

What do you mean by "auto-scanning feature continues to run"?

I mean that "Scanning projects" is also being done when this option is disabled.
