It works fine on ubuntu 9.10. Could you please attach messages.log? Created attachment 100263 [details]

It did work indeed with 9.10. At some time before that it didn't work either. But whether that was an earlier release of netbeans or kubuntu ? it's included. Since this morning ctrl-shift-i is working again. As far as I know nothing was updated since I logged this ticket. Not Netbeans, Linux or Java. That's weird... Seems like a problem caused by kde4 global shortcuts framework. For instance Kopete uses this shortcut for incoming messages and when it is running it 'steals' this shortcut from other applications. Please check $KDEHOME/.kde/share/config/kglobalshortcutsrc where the kdedglobalaccel daemon should store its data. You're absolutely right !!! Kopete was running yesterday but not today. When it is running ctrl/shift/i doesn't work any more. It works again when kopete is closed. Selecting "none" in the system settings (see screenshot) solves the problem. So, it's really nothing about Netbeans. I should have thought about that... :-) Is there a way to display in Netbeans the shortcut is already reserved ? Created attachment 100312 [details]
