Bug 168426

Summary: Tasks list not showing correct list after upgrade
Product: platform Reporter: daik <daik>
Component: Action ItemsAssignee: Jan Peska <JPESKA>
Status: RESOLVED WORKSFORME
Severity: blocker

Description daik 2009-07-11 05:46:41 UTC
I just upgraded from 6.1 to
Product Version: NetBeans IDE 6.7 (Build 200906241340)
Java: 1.6.0_14; Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 14.0-b16
System: Linux version 2.6.24.7-laptop-2mnb running on amd64; UTF-8; en_AU (nb)

On startup it asked if I wanted to import my settings and projects from 6.1 and I chose yes. As well as importing the
projects it also imported which project I had set as my main project. However the task list was empty. I knew I had
TODO's in my code and tried to figure out why they were not showing. I opened a file (from the main project) that had a
few TODOs in it, and switched the setting to "Current file only" and the tasks appeared. Switching back to "main
project" nothing comes up.

I then went and rightclicked on my main project and chose "set as main project" (even though it was already selected as
main project as indicated by bolding of the project name). Now the tasks appeared. So it seems the task scanner did not
pick on the fact that I imported a 'main project'.

After changes in NB 7.2 the "Main Project" scope was replaced by "Selected Project" scope (due to general Main Project changes in NB). I'll close this bug as WORKSFORME since the main project doesn't affect TODOs anymore.
